Get Off Your Phone!
In this day and age, everyone is pretty much glued to their phones. From top end phones such as iPhone's to low end prepaid phones, people still find the need to keep it with them at all times. Without doubt, smartphones can be extremely productive and help with educational purposes, however, most students abuse their phones and use them to fool around at school. From checking Instagram on a daily basis, to playing games and watching youtube videos everywhere, students are absolutely addicted to their phones. The school board has taken notice on this issue, and although they have banned social media sites and many mobile games, students still manage to find ways around this or end up finding something else that is equally distracting.
Not only are phones extremely distracting, mobile smart phones can also destroy our precious relationships with friends, family and other peers. The same can be said about other electronic devices such as computers and gaming consoles. As humanity becomes more and more addicted to their electronic devices, it is only logical for them to use it more and more. Unfortunately, we only have 24 hours in a day, and although I wish that we had more, every minute is valuable. As we use our devices more, something is getting less and less time. If you guessed human communication, you are correct! As we get less interactions with each other, our relationships will get worse.
In conclusion, as the influence of technology gets bigger and bigger in our lives, humans will be forced into using it more and more. Those who get addicted to their mobile phones and computers will see a massive decline in social relationships and very likely see a regress in their academic performance.
